After defending true teachers in chapter 1, Peter began to expose false teachers in 2 Peter 2:1-10. With examples from Genesis, he denounced false teachers and also showed us how to live in this world.
God has always been with his people, in various ways and temporarily in Old Testament times and later and permanently in human flesh.
The people could draw near to God only after the blood of the covenant was shed.
